 May
is a Magical Month at Memory Magic & More for many reasons. The
store will be celebrating nine years in business, May 3rd is
National Scrapbook Day, and I get to tell you about an exciting scrapbooking
event in Colorado...The Shop Hop. All three happenings reflect how
big scrapbooking is. Whether remembering a lifetime or an event,
scrapbooks can play a part in anyone's life. You, my loyal
customers, are the reason I am in this business. I feel great joy
when I can share a creative idea, find the right product for you
and when you share how meaningful a scrapbook has been when it was
given as a gift. When someone, who thinks they "are not creative,"
does a book or even a page, and can't wait to begin a second one I
know they are hooked. I thank you or your business, your trust,
and for making me feel that I am doing what I am meant to be
doing. Read on to discover what will be happening this month.

May 3rd & 4th Let's
Celebrate!!!
National Scrapbook Day is May 3rd and Memory Magic & More will be
beginning it's 10th year in business. This calls for a great
weekend. We are taking steps to be an environmentally responsible
store. We will be serving refreshments, offering
a class to create a Mother's Day gift, and if you spend
$10 or more you will receive a
cloth Memory Magic & More bag. Put the bag in your car and
when you shop at Memory Magic & More bring your bag. You will
receive $.25 back. In addition, there is a recycling wastebasket
to put your trash in and the lightbulbs that are left on all night
use very little energy. If we all do a little bit, it will add up
to a lot! |

The Shop Hop...
Memory Magic & More is
joining other independent scrapbook stores throughout Colorado to
offer a week of fun. Mark your calendars now-June 20-29 for the
SHOP HOP! There
will be contests, a "passport," to be stamped at each store you
visit, discounts, Make & Takes, and MORE!
Registration will begin on
May 3rd and be ongoing until the event. We are still working on
detail but as soon as ideas are finalized you will be informed.

Crops
Our crops are on Sundays
from 11-4. We are going to offer another crop on Wednesday
evenings from 5:30-10 once a month. The crops will be free if you
purchase $10 or more in scrapbooking products. If another evening
would work better, please let me know. |

3 NATIONAL SCRAPBOOK DAY:
Stop in and help us celebrate this
fabulous industry.
Create
a unique Mother's Day gift. 1-2:30. Bring in three photos and
leave with a completed set
of frames. We will use Kaiser Kraft frames, paper, Grungeboard and
ribbon. $20 (includes
materials)

CELEBRATE NINE YEARS: The celebration continues. Stop in to say hi. A celebration
will
not be a celebration without you! 11-4.

MOTHER'S DAY GIFT CLASS:
In case you missed the class last weekend you
have
another chance to create this unique gift. 2-3:30. $20. See
description and photo above.

GETTING DOWN TO BASICS:
1:30-2:30. Bring in 8-10 photos and leave with two to four
completed pages. You will learn how to organize, crop photos,
round
corners,back and lay out your pages. $10

CHOOSE IT:
What have you been wanting to learn? We will have an open
classroom where you can bring what you want to do, get personal
help and have time
to
create. 1-4. $10

LET'S GET GRUNGY!
It's the newest rage. Tim Holtz and Grungeboard. I went to a
workshop that he led and am psyched to share what I learned with
you. We will decorate a frame using grungeboard and acrylic
squares. Don't miss out on the fun!

PHOTO FOR GRUNGEBOARD
 Grungeboard
is a product created by Tim Holtz. It is somewhat like a rubbery
chipboard. It is flexible, easy to
paint, use a stamp pad on, and wonderful as a classy decoration.
Try out dauber acrylic paints, the blending tool
and Tim Holtz' amazing scissors.

offer BIRTHDAY PARTIES,
CROPPING TIME as well as
A SUMMER PROGRAM
FOR KIDS. This year Memory Magic
& More will be joining with Ascent Health to offer a CHILDREN'S
YOGA CLASS. Jane was a Master Teacher before she began the
scrapbook business. Call for more information or to sign up for a
class.
