Jane Diamond, Owner & CEO
After spending 30+ years in the classroom, Jane decided it was time to grow in an additional direction.  Having attended HIA in Dallas with her sister in 1998, Jane returned to Denver and knew opening a scrapbook store was meant to be. In October 1999, Memory Magic & More, a Scrapbook Boutique where you turn memories into treasures, was born. An avid and life-long learner, Jane built the store around her kindergarten classrooms, encouraging everyone to discover their inner child as they create something magical. She agrees that it is almost impossible to include every photo in a scrapbook, but encourages people use words to help “tell the story” in their books. “Everyone who walks through the door has such interesting stories to share. Sometimes all they need is a little encouragement and help to get going.”
Laurie Diamond, Many Different Hats
Laurie joined her mom during the summer of 2003. Having lived and worked in the San Francisco Bay Area for several years, she felt the time was right to return home and go into business with her mom. Laurie’s scrapbooking days began in the 1980’s when she attended summer camp in Northern Minnesota and continue today. While she finds it challenging working on her own scrapbook, “I’m not quite ready for that yet, though every time we get a new shipment of books I get inspired,” she loves putting things together for her friends, family and customers.
